The Humble Quest to find Truth in a Confusing World

  • Back from the World

I have been out in the world, the world without internet for approximately 2 months…but I have made it back to civilization and free time. Seriously, I have been traveling this great nation of ours, but I really have just been lazy about the whole blog thing…oh well…

Since the last time I wrote here are some things that have been on my mind:

    1. Airplanes need more leg room: how many of us can really afford first-class? Come on airlines, I know that the liberal agenda is to keep us happy with the peanuts and shut us up…but enough! I want at least 4 more inches for my feet. Or at least create several rows for people with a shoe size of at least 11 to sit in with a bit more room. We can make that part of the security check, checking to make sure that a person isn’t trying to steal a big foot seat. Then if you pass inspection you get a sticker with a giant foot in neon green to put on your shirt. It will happen, just you wait…

    2. Mexican food is a loose term: I have never really spent much time in Mexico, but I have been around these United States eating at culinary institutions that claim to be “Mexican” food restaurants. To be honest, I have had so many different versions that now I’m completely confused as to what actually Mexican food is, or if it really even exists, or what constitutes a restaurant being able to call itself a Mexican food restaurant. I think we all need to stop and reflect on this…

    3. Self-Service Gas Pumps are what make America great: I recently went to a mecca of liberal thinking, hippies, and people that read and drink coffee while wearing a lumberjack shirt…that’s right Oregon. While visiting this state and taking in the views and people, we had to stop for gas. And that’s when I realized what made America great and why people think of Oregon as America’s little Canada: it is illegal in Oregon to pump your own gas! Yeah, you have to wait for a gas attendant to come over and fill your tank for you. I was absolutely shocked by this, what’s next: people in the bathroom ready to hand me toilet paper when I’m ready for it? Come on Oregon, you as a state are going to have to live with the fact that you’ve created a system of helpless gas pumpers when your people travel to America…

Well those are enough thoughts for now. I have many more experiences to share covering my trips to Oklahoma and Washington…plus hopefully I’ll post some pictures of my time away soon. Until then, keep it rockin’ America…
